Live In The Now

Happy New Year Friends!

We have said our goodbyes to 2021, and we are welcoming in a new year.

To be honest, the last month was an interesting one. I saw a tweet that said, “This December is not Decembering like the other Decembers that Decembered”.

I read it twice because for some odd reason it made so much sense. With everything that is going on in the world, the holidays felt different. Maybe not for you, but it did for me.

Then I realized, we can’t hold on to how things used to make us feel or how things used to be.

Every time I think to myself it’s not how it used to be, I rob what it is right now.

I don’t know what this new year has in store but I’m going to live in the now. I can check my Timehop, look at IG and FB memories, but I can’t do it from the perspective of wishing for what used to be or what could’ve been.

We need our past, and history is important but don’t live in it. You can visit, but you are not there to stay.

This year I’m not going to be afraid of new and different. I’m not going to be afraid of the things that might not go perfectly.

This year I believe new joy, new life, new favor, new opportunities for you.

Start the new tradition, develop a new habit, create new memories.

Don’t be anxious and worried about the things that can go wrong this year. God has good plans for you this year. Hold on to that word.

One Verse

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11

One Thought

Being new is not just a feeling, it takes action.
