“Selah” is a word found throughout the Psalms. While its exact meaning remains a mystery, many believe it invites us to pause, reflect, and take a breath. For me, saying selah feels like a holy sigh, a gentle reminder that rest is not a reward, it’s a requirement.

In 2018, a car accident nearly took my life. I spent close to a year at home relearning how to rest, how to be still, and how to let God meet me in the quiet. That season reshaped me. I now carry the word survivor with reverence and compassion, and I’ve grown passionate about helping others find those same sacred pauses in their own lives.

Selah Saturdays is a monthly rhythm of rest and reflection. Each post is an invitation to slow down, be still, and remember that God is near in the moments we often rush past.

Take a breath. Take a break. A new Selah Saturday arrives each month.
